Fresh from her victory over a star studded field at the Prefontaine classic last weekend, Olympic champion elaine – Thompson-Herah will be seeking to pick up where she left off this weekend.
This as she is set to compete at the Rabat Diamond League in Morocco on Saturday ……the fourth stop on the Diamond League calendar.
The 2016 and 2020 Olympic champion Herah will race in the women’s 100 meters, where she is set to face off with compatriot Natasha Morrisson, along with Marie Jose Talou of the Ivory Coast and Michelle Lee Ahye of Trinidad and Tobago.
Last weekend Thompson-Herah beat an all-star field that included the USA’s Sha’carri Richardson, Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson and Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith, winning in a season best 10.79 seconds.
Another Olympic champion who will be present in Rabat is Norway’s 400metres hurdles champ Karsten Warholm who will open his season in the men’s 400 meters hurdles.
Tokyo Olympic gold medalist Sweden’s Daniel Stahl will lead the field in the men’s discus competition.
