2 Hungarians to answer to drug related charges in court tomorrow following cocaine bust at Sangster International Airport

Two Hungarians are to appear in the St. James Parish Court tomorrow to answer to cocaine related charges.

Istavan Ozi and Andras Raffael, both car salesmen from Hungary, were arrested during an operation at the Sangster International Airport in Montego bay, last Wednesday, August 14.

Reports are that at about 11:45 a.m. the men checked in for a flight to Manchester, England.

During routine checks, their suitcases were found to contain false compartments which had packages of cocaine.

The men were taken to hospital where they allegedly expelled 53 pellets of cocaine from their bodies.

The illicit drug weighed approximately 2.73 kilograms.

The men were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine and taking steps to export cocaine.

Head of the Police’s Firearms and Narcotics Investigations Division (FNID) Superintendent Sam Blake, said their arrest is an indication that the department is doing something right.
