14-year-old boy charged with Attempted Rape, Burglary and Wounding with Intent following incident in St. James
A 14-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with Attempted Rape, Burglary and Wounding with Intent following an incident along Crawford Street, in Mount Salem, St. James.
Reports from the Montego Bay Police are that about 11:40 p.m. on Tuesday, the boy gained entry to the victim’s home and attempted to rape her.
A struggle ensued and he used a knife to inflict several stab wounds to her upper body and head.
After she made an alarm, he ran from the home.
On Wednesday, a citizen arrested the boy and escorted him to the police station.
He was charged yesterday, after a question-and-answer session.
His court date is being finalized.
