Ziggy Marley thanks firefighters battling California wildfires

Ziggy Marley is expressing gratitude to the brave firefighters risking their lives to contain the devastating California wildfires.

According to NBC News, critical fire weather conditions are expected to persist until at least Wednesday, increasing the likelihood of further fire spread.

Taking to his verified Instagram account, Ziggy shared an aerial video of a plane flying over the wildfire in an effort to contain the blaze. In the caption, he wrote: “Thankful respect and love to all the firefighters on the ground and in the air who risk their lives to help others in these times of need. JAH be with you. Real superheroes. #LosAngeles”

Celebrities such as Mel Gibson, Mandy Moore, Paris Hilton, Ricki Lake, Keisha Cole, Jamaican-America singer Masego and Jhene Aiko have all spoken about losing their homes in the fires.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that at least 24 people have died, thousands of structures have been destroyed, and many areas remain under evacuation orders due to life-threatening conditions.

The wildfires have also disrupted life in Los Angeles, forcing production shutdowns and the cancellation of key events, including the Critics Choice Awards, the 31st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, and tapings of Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Ziggy Marley’s heartfelt tribute highlights the heroism of those on the frontlines as California battles one of its most devastating fire seasons.
