Ziggy Marley, Industry Mourn Death of Reggae Artiste and Actor Ras Ajai

Ziggy Marley is among several members of the entertainment fraternity expressing shock and sadness following the death of reggae artiste and actor Ras Ajai.
The 47-year-old entertainer, who portrayed Claudie Massop in the film Bob Marley: One Love, was shot and killed by armed assailants in Waterford, Portmore, St. Catherine, on Saturday night.
Reflecting on their time together on the set of the biopic, Ziggy Marley described Ras Ajai as “humble, down-to-earth, positive and progressive.”
Fellow cast member Everaldo “Pukupoo” Creary also reacted to the tragic news, describing it as heartbreaking.
Meanwhile, Hector Roots expressed shock at the artiste’s passing, saying Ras Ajai’s legacy will never be forgotten.
Ras Ajai was a member of Sean Paul’s Dutty Rock camp for more than six years and had recently completed a 20-day tour of the United States with the Grammy-winning entertainer.
His catalogue includes songs such as Di Ras Hot, Vice Grip, and Buss A Bubble, featuring Sean Paul.
