Young girl among 3 shot and wounded during Grand Market in St Ann’s Bay
A young girl is among 3 people shot and wounded by unknown assailants during grand market activities in St. Ann’s Bay, St. Ann, yesterday.
The St. Ann police theorise that the attack stemmed from ongoing conflict between persons from the Charles Town and Windsor communities.
Reports are that about 11:30 p.m. two men armed with hand guns opened fire on a group of people in the vicinity of the Baptist church.
Three persons, to include a 9 year old girl, were hit.
The wounded persons were taken to hospital where they have been admitted in stable condition.
Police are appealing to anyone with information on the shooting to contact them.
