On Sunday August 18 Jamaica’s number one radio station IRIE FM continues its mantra to tribute Jamaica’s first national Hero Marcus Mosiah Garvey.

The 2024 tribute being held under the theme Social Justice and Civil Rights: we have a voice make us a part of the decision-making process will take place inside the Courtyard of IRIE FM and the Coconut Grove Great House. 

This year’s Featured speakers are Bert Samuels, Minister David Muhammed, Sujae Boswell, Mayor Micheal Belnavis, Councillor Eugene Kelly, Steven Golding, Dr Devon Taylor and special guest speakers.

The day’s proceedings will feature performances from Cherry Natural, Charmaine Ital, The Accompong Maroons, Neto Meeks, Ras Takura Majah Bless, Kingston Drummer, Ras Ivie & the Nyabinghi Drummers, Wise Wurdz alongside black music from Mutabaruka.

Then from 6pm the tempo changes with the Marcus Garvey concert featuring Hezron, Anthony Cruz, Wezrok, Loyal Flames, DYCR, Keke I, Mackie Conscious, Munga Honourable, Jahdon, Sativa Di Black 1, Bongo Herman Bubbles Man, Teflon, Okeefe and more hosted by Chuka & Isis.
