Jamaica’s World Indoor silver medalist Jordan Scott won the men’s triple jump at the JBL Jump Fest in Slovakia today with the returning Jaydon Hibbert taking third place

Scott the current world leader with 17.66 meters, leapt 17.44 meters to win the event.

World under 20 record holder Hibbert leapt 16.69 meters to secure the bronze medal.

Cuba’s Lazaro Martinez took the silver with 16.82 meters.

Hibbert was one of four Jamaican athletes whose application to transfer national allegiance to Turkiye were rejected by world athletics.

He was competing for the first time since a fourth place finish at the Paris Olympics.

Meanwhile, Akelia Smith produced a third place finish in the women’s long jump with a leap of 6.50 meters

World indoor finalist Nia Robinson was just behind in fourth with 6.39 meters.
