Workers attached to Caribbean Products Company Limited take industrial action this morning
Workers attached to Caribbean Products Company Limited have taken industrial action this morning (July 3).
Island Supervisor for Industrial Relations at the National Workers Union, Kurt Fletcher said the workers are upset about Caribbean Products’ implementation of a flexible-work-arrangement, despite a lack of proper engagement with staff members.
According to Mr Fletcher, workers who refuse to comply with the flexible-work-schedule, which comes into effect today, will be made redundant.
As such, the workers have decided to stay off the job until the schedule is withdrawn and an agreement is reached by both parties.
