Work on Portmore Resilience Park about 50 percent complete
Work on the Portmore Resilience Park in St. Catherine is about 50 percent complete.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness, who toured the construction site yesterday said the project is on target to be finished by September.
Mr. Holness said the park will further enrich the landscape of Portmore, especially when the area becomes a parish.
The park will feature indoor and outdoor spaces for physical activities, including tennis and basketball courts, a jogging trail, and a nature walk.
It will also have commercial shops, electric vehicle charging stations, a large green space and other amenities to support the needs of the residents of Portmore.
Mr. Holness said the government is following through on the vision to create green and recreational spaces and parks in all parishes.
