The woman who was seriously injured after a car she was aboard went over a precipice in Irish Town, St. Andrew, yesterday, has succumbed.

Dead is Greta McKenzie of Jerry Gully in Irish Town.

Reports from the police are that at about 2:20 PM, Ms. McKenzie was a passenger aboard a Toyota Probox motorcar, which was being driven along the Irish Town main road.

Police say the vehicle, with six persons aboard, reportedly veered off the main road and over a precipice.

The police were summoned, and upon arrival, Ms. McKenzie was seen pinned inside the vehicle.

She was later removed from the vehicle with the assistance of firefighters.

All injured persons were taken to the hospital, where McKenzie was pronounced dead and the others admitted for treatment.
