A Clarendon woman is dead and her husband is in police custody, following a domestic dispute at their home in Frankfield, this morning.

Dead is 33-year-old Sashane Williams.

Reports are that about 12:20 a.m., Williams and her husband reportedly had a physical altercation, during which the man allegedly slashed her throat and then set the house ablaze.

Residents removed Williams from the house.

They also summoned the police and the fire department.

The husband reportedly surrendered to the police at the scene. 

Detectives have confirmed that the man had lacerations to his throat and arms.

He was transported to hospital for treatment under police guard.

Investigations continue.
