A woman was arrested following the seizure of a pistol in Mansfield Heights in Ocho Rios, St. Ann, last night.

Reports are that at about 10:50 pm, police were carrying out an operation at a business establishment in the community, when a 9 millimetre pistol along with an empty magazine, were found behind a refrigerator.

The weapon was seized.

A woman at the premises was then taken into custody. 

Investigations continue.
