Wickie Wackie Festival to create history

The highly anticipated Wickie Wackie Music Fest (WWMF) makes its return to Bull Bay’s coastline this Valentines weekend.

In a release sent to IRIE FM, organizers of the festival noted that the two-day festival promises to be a cultural immersion providing festival goers with an unforgettable experience.

Wicki Wackie 2025 will feature an unprecedented lineup of foundation artists, legendary sound systems, and emerging talents. Festival Organisers have also curated a selection of performances that honours Jamaica’s rich musical heritage.

In the release festival co-founder Kumar Bent expressed his excitement, stating, that from Max Romeo’s historic farewell tour performance to Third World’s iconic catalogue of hits, its their aim to make history.

Day One of the festival dubbed, “For the Love of Sound,” will feature an international “Rootsman Clash” with Germany’s SuperSonicSound and SoundQuake, supported by the Germany Embassy in Kingston with exclusive performances by Jamaica’s Natural High Sound and Hamburg’s Silly Walks Discotheque.

Day Two titled, “Play I Some Music,” boasts a star-studded lineup, including Kumar, Third World, Max Romeo and Earl “Chinna” Smith’s 25-piece Binghistra.

New for 2025, WWMF introduces an immersive camping. Festival-goers can enjoy beachside tent accommodations, morning yoga sessions, sound baths, and traditional drumming circles.

The festival grounds will also host a carefully curated craft village showcasing local artisans, authentic Jamaican cuisine, and exclusive merchandise.
