Commanding Officer for the Westmoreland police division Superintendent Othniel Dobson is urging residents to report unauthorized or illegal events taking place in their communities.

He highlighted that 19 of the 100 murders recorded in the parish last year, were linked to such events, where reprisals and counter-reprisals played a role.

Superintendent Dobson pointed out that these events are often connected to illegal activities including money laundering.

He emphasized the importance of residents alerting the police of the events to aid them in dismantling criminal networks.
