Westmoreland Custos says JCF made the wrong choice selecting the new denim uniform
Custos of Westmoreland Hartley Perrin says he believes the Jamaica Constabulary Force, JCF, made the wrong choice with the selection of the new denim uniform.
He points to difficulties identifying the uniform especially at nights and raised concerns about the long sleeved shirts in Jamaica’s tropical climate.
The Custos says the uniform given to the police is inappropriate.
Custos Perrin wants the JCF to revisit the selection of the uniform.
Meantime, Commanding Officer for the Westmoreland Police Superintendent Othniel Dobson in noting the concerns raised by the custos, says the visibility issues are being addressed.
He adds that officers deem the denim uniform to be more comfortable.
