Westmoreland businessman charged with murder in chopping death of woman
A businessman who allegedly chopped a woman to death in Frome, Westmoreland on Sunday, has been charged with murder.
He is 42-year-old Dewayne Anglin from Truro District.
Anglin is charged with the murder of 29-year-old travel agent Sydonia Martin, of the same community.
According to reports from the Westmoreland police, at about 3:30 A.M., Anglin and Martin had an altercation during which Anglin allegedly used a machete to inflict wounds to Martin.
Martin was taken to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday.
Anglin surrendered himself to the police and was charged.
His court date is being arranged.
