Western Regional Health Authority denies claims of hiring disagreement between pool of doctors and Cornwall Regional Hospital
The Western Regional Health Authority (WRHA) has denied claims of a hiring disagreement between a pool of doctors and the Cornwall Regional Hospital.
In a release today (January 6), the Opposition People’s National Party said the dispute stemmed from a career advertisement published in a local newspaper, over one month ago, by the WRHA.
The Opposition explained that despite the advertisement which sought the services of ten Grade 1 medical officers to meet the hospital’s needs, the hospital’s management reportedly rejected the applications.
However, the WRHA’s Regional Director, St Andrade Sinclair told IRIE FM news that doctors have been short-listed for hire, and it is expected that by next week those doctors will be employed.
