The West Indies women’s cricketers suffered a second straight defeat at the ICC Women’s t20 world cup going down by six wickets to India in Cape Town today.
Winning the toss and electing to bat the Windies Women despite a timely return to form by Stafanie Taylor could only muster up 118 for 6 in their 20 overs.
Taylor led the way with a top-score 42 from 40 balls inclusive of six fours, while sharing in a second wicket partnership of 73 with vice captain Shemaine Campbell who cracked 30
Windies captain Hayley Matthews went early for 2 as Deepti Sharma finished with 3 for 15 in leading the Indian bowling.
Richa gosh then led the indian batting with an unbeaten 44 as they chased down their winning target to finish on 119 for 4 with 11 balls to spare.

Offspinner Karishma Ramharack who came on for left-arm-spinning all rounder Zaida James was the best Windies bowler with 2 for 14.
