West Indies name squad for deciding Test against Pakistan in Multan

The West Indies have made key changes to their line-up for the second and deciding Test against Pakistan in Multan, with experienced pacer Kemar Roach and wicket-keeper batsman Amir Jangoo both included in the squad.

Roach, who has been a standout performer for the West Indies in recent years, returns to the playing XI after missing out in the opening Test. His inclusion adds significant depth to the pace attack, especially as fast bowler Jayden Seales has been ruled out with a slight niggle in his leg.

The Windies are aiming to level the two-match series at 1-1, after suffering a 127-run defeat in the first Test, which ended on Sunday.

Pakistan’s dominant performance was driven by spinner Sajid Khan, who claimed a remarkable nine-wicket haul, helping the hosts bowl out the visitors for just 123 runs in the second innings as they chased a target of 251.

The West Indies line-up for the second Test, to be led by captain Kraigg Brathwaite, features Mikyle Louis, Keacy Carty, Alick Athanaze, Kavem Hodge, Justin Greaves, Amir Jangoo (WK), Gudakesh Motie, Kevin Sinclair, Jomel Warrican, and Kemar Roach.

Pakistan has yet to announce their playing XI, with coach Aqib Javed stating they will assess the pitch conditions before finalizing their team.
