West Indies name playing XI for first Test against Bangladesh
Recently suspended pacer Alzarri Joseph and in-form batsman Justin Greaves have been included in the West Indies playing XI for the first game of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh which takes place at the Sir Viv Richards Stadium in Antigua on Friday.
The home series, scheduled from November 22 to December 4, 2024, in Antigua and Jamaica, marks a crucial chapter as the team looks to capitalize on home conditions and finish the World Test Championship on a high note.
Led by Kraigg Brathwaite the Windies XI, that features a mix of seasoned and fresh talent, is completed by Alick Athanaze, Keacy Carty, Joshua Da Silva, Kavem Hodge, Shamar Joseph, Mikyle Louis, Kemar Roach and Jayden Seales.
Completing the fifteen man squad are Tevin Imlach, Anderson Phillip, Kevin Sinclair and Jomel Warrican.
The second Test is at Sabina Park in Jamaica and bowls off on November 30.
The teams are also scheduled to meet in three One Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals from December 8 to December 19, 2024.
