The practical component of the weeklong fifa referee seminar which began on Monday at the holiday Inn Hotel in Montego Bay , is this afternoon being staged at the Catherine Hall Stadium in St James.

The seminar is being held in two parts with english and spanish instructors from North & South America, the Caribbean, Canada, USA, Ireland, Uruguay and Italy. 

The first section of the seminar held between Monday and Tuesday focused on the FIFA instructors and the second component, which began on Wednesday is for the fifa Technical Instructors, with the Fifa head of refereeing Mr. Massimo Busacca in attendance. 

The seminar is designed to develop and improve top referee instructors using FIFA materials and concepts.  

Participating in the practical sessions each day will be two Dacosta Cup teams from Spot Valley High as well as local referees.
