‘We are trendsetters!’- Montague rejects claim JLP copied PNP on conference decision

Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Chairman Robert Montague has dismissed suggestions that the Party’s decision to forego its large annual Conference this year is a copycat move, modelled after the People’s National Party.

Montague, who was speaking at a JLP press conference this morning, insisted that the decision is based on the JLP’s considerations.

He also pointed to Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness’ decision to implement cost-cutting measures.
