Waterhouse climb to 5th after 3–0 win over Chapelton Maroons

Former champions Waterhouse moved up to fifth place in the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League table following a 3–0 victory over Chapelton Maroons at the Drewsland Mini Stadium on Monday night. The result closed out Match Day 6 in style for Waterhouse and ended a two-game losing streak.

Mario Simms opened the scoring in the 15th minute to give the hosts an early advantage. With six minutes left in regulation time, Kenly Deacon doubled the lead before Omani Leacock struck in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time to seal all three points for the home side.

The win lifted Waterhouse to nine points, edging Arnett Gardens into sixth place on goal difference. Chapelton, meanwhile, remain in fourth on 10 points — just one behind Portmore United, who earlier in the evening were held to a goalless draw by Molynes United in the first game of the double-header.

At the top of the table, Montego Bay United lead the standings with 13 points, followed by Racing United on 11. Portmore United sit third on goal difference ahead of Chapelton.
