UPDATE: Water supplied to St. Hilda’s Diocesan High School in Brown’s Town, St. Ann
Water has reportedly been supplied to the St. Hilda’s Diocesan High School in Brown’s Town, St. Ann.
As such, upper school students, those in grades 11, 12 and 13 are expected to resume classes today.
The students were to return to classes yesterday after the Easter break but classes did not resume due to a lack of water.
In an advisory, the school informed boarding students that they could return either last evening or early this morning.
The Brown’s Town community has been grappling with water issues for years.
The National Water Commission said this recent disruption in service is due to technical issues at a pump.
The Commission said it has been providing trucked water to affected customers.
