Water resources authority monitoring areas known to have rising flood waters

The Water Resources Authority (WRA) is monitoring a number of areas across the country known to have rising flood waters.

Since Hurricane Melissa there have been reports of major flooding in Content Manchester, and Moneague and Cave Valley in St. Ann.

Managing Director of the (WRA) Peter Clarke says other areas including New Market in St. Elizabeth are being monitored.

He says the authority will also head to Chigwell in Hanover .

The water in Content is rising at almost a foot each day.

Areas close to that community are being observed.

And in relation to Moneague , Mr. Clarke states that the water has started to recede.
