Water Minister says pipe work to begin soon in some St. Ann communities
Minister with responsibility for water, Matthew Samuda says pipe work will begin in some communities in Southeast St. Ann to remedy the water shortage.
During a tour of the constituency on Friday, Minister Samuda attributed the shortage to distribution issues.
He mentioned that the pipe work will establish connections between the Higgins Town and Claremont communities, ensuring improved water flow to residents.
To further improve water distribution, the Minister spoke to plans of partnering with bauxite companies to assess well availability near communities.
Meanwhile, Member of Parliament for the constituency, Lisa Hanna added that some 1000 residents will be provided with water tanks soon.
