Water minister appeals to NWC customers eligible for amnesty to make appointments
With the three-month amnesty for customers of the National Water Commission (NWC) having commenced today, Water Minister Matthew Samuda is appealing to eligible customers to make appointments before they visit the commission’s offices.
The amnesty is for customers disconnected for debts to the NWC for two years or more.
Eligible customers include pensioners and those assessed as being in need based on the—Programme of Advancement Through Health and education (PATH) beneficiary identification standards.
About 150,000 customers are expected to benefit from the amnesty.
Samuda said persons should call the agency’s offices and make appointments before going in.
