Warmington maintains that he will not support another budgetary allocation for IC unless audit is done

Parliamentarian Everald Warmington has maintained that he will not support another budgetary allocation for the Integrity Commission, IC unless an audit is done on the agency.

Mr. Warmington first made the statement last October, while raising questions about how funds allocated to the anti corruption agency are spent.

Speaking during Parliament’s Standing Finance Committee Meeting, this morning, Mr. Warmington noted that an additional 164 million dollars is being allocated to the IC, in the 2025/2026 budget.

He said his demand for an audit still stands and he will not support any more funding of  the commission.

In response, Finance Minister Fayval Williams said she would make checks about the audit.
