14 years after its release, Vybz Kartel’s 2011 hit “Summertime” has officially been certified Silver in the United Kingdom by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) for surpassing 200,000 units in sales and streams as of June 27, 2025.

This milestone marks Kartel’s second UK single certification, following his 2016 hit Fever.

Vybz Kartel—who is set to be crowned King of the Dancehall at Reggae Sumfest next month—is currently in St. Kitts for the St. Kitts and Nevis Music Festival.

He’s expected to perform later this evening alongside Barrington Levy, Spice, Jah Vinci, Chronic Law, and more.
