Buju Banton, Elephant Man, Dexta Daps, Chronic Law, Stefflon Don, rapper Cardi B, and reality star Safaree were among the celebrities who turned out to show support for Vybz Kartel’s first U.S. performance in over 20 years.

Clips circulating online showed Kartel in his element; he looked and sounded good. Following an energetic introduction from MC Nuffy, the Dancehall star was greeted with loud cheers as he belted out his 2001 hit, Buddu Bye.

Spice, Rvssian, Busta Rhymes, Jahvinci, and Blak Ryno were among the entertainers who shared the stage with him at a packed Barclays Center.

Kartel also brought out the important women in his life, his mother and fiancée. He performed Mama for his mom, Mrs. Teresa Wilson-Palmer, and Interracial for his Turkish fiancée, Sidem Ozturk.

The tearjerker moment of the night came when Kartel got emotional while performing his latest hit, God Is The Greatest. Nuffy, encouraging him to let it out, rushed to the stage with Skatta. “Let it out mi general, cry if you wanna cry,” Nuffy said, before embracing Kartel and telling him, “Mi love you,” as Skatta handed him a rag to wipe his tears.

Vybz Kartel delivered what many are calling an epic performance and is slated to return to the Barclays Center stage tonight for another sold-out show in Brooklyn, New York.
