Vybz Kartel leads Caribbean nominations for MOBO Awards
Vybz Kartel is leading the list of Caribbean entertainers nominated for this year’s MOBO Awards with two nominations.
The dancehall star, who received the MOBO Impact Award last year, is nominated for Best International Act and Best Caribbean Act.
In a lengthy post, Vybz Kartel thanked the MOBO Awards for the recognition. He wrote, “After being the first dancehall artist to win the MOBO Impact Award, I have to first stop to give thanks to the most high.”

Other entertainers competing in the Best Caribbean Act category include Shenseea, Masicka, Lila Ike, Ayetian, and Trinidad and Tobago’s Yung Bredda.
The MOBO Awards, which celebrate music of black origin, will be held on March 26 in the United Kingdom.
