A rural transportation system for school children will be implemented in short order.

New transport minister Daryl Vaz indicates that he has some information on how such a system could be implemented.

He describes what obtains as “absolutely unacceptable”.

Mr. Vaz highlights some of the challenges faced by students in his west Portland constituency, pointing to the urgent need for a safe transport system for students in rural Jamaica.

The transport minister says the country will hear about plans for the implementation of the transport service for students in the shortest possible time.
