Transport Minister Daryl Vaz says staff morale and efficiency are the two main areas of focus in the government’s plan to boost operations at the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC).

Mr. Vaz made the disclosure, following yesterday’s meeting with the board, management, staff, and union delegates of the state-run bus company.

The meeting was aimed at addressing issues affecting the company’s operations.

Mr. Vaz noted that though the government has invested significantly in the JUTC, improvements cannot be fully realized without the collaborative effort of the company’s management and workers.

Mr. Vaz said there will be regular meetings with the JUTC to deal with issues as they arise.
