Transport Minister Daryl Vaz has sought to assure commuters that the government will not launch new bus routes or new services at the expense of current underserved routes.

He also pledged continued efforts to reduce the wait time for buses. 

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Mr. Vaz noted that the Commuter Misery Index has declined significantly when compared to 2023, when he took stewardship of the transport portfolio.
