Valiant’s shoe game inspires shoe challenge trend
Social media’s reaction to Valiant’s preview of the Signed by McFly Cyber clogs, has triggered a shoe trend across platforms, prompting the Diplomat front runner to launch a shoe challenge.
In a TikTok post, Valiant said he is giving away one hundred and fifty thousand JMD for the most creative shoe. He asked participants to tag him in their videos, using his new song, Whole Lot a, to vie for a chance to walk away with the cash prize.
The challenge has sparked a wave of submissions with many content creators sharing their unusual designs. Footwear fashioned from cardboard boxes, green bananas, mackerel tins, detergent bottles and coconut husks combined with flexi rods are some of the creations entering the challenge.
Since previewing the Signed by McFly Clogs, the Mad Out hit maker, has been teasing fans with his shoe game.
In one video, he shared his vast shoe collection strewn about a room, sparking gentle outcry from social media users. Valiant showcased his creativity in another video, wearing a carved watermelon and pumpkin as a pair of shoes. His latest post on the subject, is a photo of himself, wearing the newly installed oversized Sagicor Sigma Run sneakers, with his caption challenging fans, to “do this and beat me.”
The Signed by McFly clogs, are designed by New York based designer Jevaughn Williams aka Mugzy McFly, who is of Jamaican ancestry.
Signed by McFly, is a fashion brand known for its varsity jackets, sweaters, footwear and more. While reposting Valiant ‘s video previewing the clogs, the designer revealed that the footwear will be available soon.
