UPDATE: 7-y-o boy, three females among 8 killed in Clarendon shooting incident
Police say a 7-year-old boy and three females are among the eight people killed in last evening’s gun attack along Cherry Tree Lane, in Four Paths, Clarendon.
They are student Aiden Bartley; 20-year-old cashier Diamond Bennett; 27-year-old cosmetologist, Kavell Daley; 32-year-old Jermaine Boothe; 57-year-old butcher Errol Stewart; Courtney Messam and a woman known only as Margaret.
9 others including a one-year-old were shot and wounded in the incident and are being treated at hospital.
Head of the Crime and Security Portfolio, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Fitz Bailey said the incident occurred at around 9 P.M.
He explained that several residents were at a car wash in the area, playing a game of bingo, when a group of men approached an opened gunfire.
He said the incident was tragic and unfortunate.
He also pledged that the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police was speaking in a video posted to the Constabulary’s social media pages this morning.
