University student accused of mowing down two men assisting another motorist granted bail
Twenty-two-year-old university student Tor anur McIntosh, who is accused of mowing down two men who were assisting another motorist in St Andrew last month, has been granted bail.
McIntosh is charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.
He was granted $3 million bail, with sureties, following a bail application by defense lawyers in court, yesterday.
McIntosh is to return to the Kingston and St Andrew parish court on November 26.
The parish judge ordered that McIntosh surrender his travel documents, and also barred him from driving any motor vehicle.
Reports are that on September 28, two men stopped along the Washington Boulevard to assist another motorist who had an accident.
They were allegedly hit by a motorcar and subsequently died in hospital.
The deceased are; 37-year-old Javaughn Rodney, a motor vehicle inspector of Dagwood Place, Ebony Vale in Spanish Town, St Catherine, and 50-year-old businessman Mark Garrick of Rudolph Avenue, Kingston 20.
