University of Technology Administrative Staff Association locked in meeting with University President over compensation issues
The University of Technology Administrative Staff Association (UTASA) is locked in a meeting with University President, Dr. Kevin Brown over compensation issues.
The meeting which started at 10 AM, follows UTASA’s indication last evening that it would engage in a series of protests starting today at the institution in relation to the wage concerns.
UTASA said among the concerns is the fact that the union has not been provided with a timeline on when it will receive the Government’s compensation review proposal.
Speaking with IRIE FM news just before entering the meeting, UTASA’s President, Jeanette Grayson said the protests have been put on hold.
She added that after the meeting, information will be shared to her team regarding the necessary actions.
She said UTASA is still awaiting a response from the Finance and Education Ministries.
