Unbelievable, starring Spragga Benz, set for October 27 premiere
The official trailer from Unbelievable, a new film featuring nineties dancehall hitmaker, Spragga Benz, is out!
In an Instagram post, Spragga shared scenes from the new flick, while inviting fans to get ready for its premiere.
In one scene from the trailer, a happy Spragga who plays the character Chris, was captured celebrating his 7th wedding anniversary with wife Faith, played by Charmaine Fenton, before transitioning to another scene of the couple being told by a medical practitioner about a pregnancy procedure that had a 98 percent success rate.
The couple is apparently plagued with fertility issues but eventually an elated Chris gets to share news of Faith’s pregnancy with his friend, played by Supa Twitch. Unfortunately, Faith suffers a miscarriage for the third time and blames it on supplements that Chris was taking. The loss of the baby drives a wedge between the couple, leaving the DJ’s character with doubts about the marriage. He confides in his friend, who advises him to give Faith some space. Another scene featured the couple, smiling while Spragga’s character cradled a newborn.
Directed by Cleon A. James, Unbelievable was produced by Top Notch Vision Films and Red Square Productions. It was shot in Florida, and stars Spragga, Merlisa Determined, Charmaine Fenton and Supa Twitch. It will premiere at Miramar Cultural Centre in Florida on October 27.
Spragga Benz made his acting debut in the 2001 film Brooklyn Babylon, a year later he played the character Wayne alongside Ky-Mani Marley in the internationally acclaimed Jamaican gangster film Shottas and in 2022 he played the character David in the movie, Second Chance.
