The Urban Development Corporation, UDC and the Jamaica Beach Birthright Environmental Movement, JABBEM are to return to court next Thursday July 17, to settle matters related to Little Dunn’s River in Ocho Rios, St. Ann.

President of JABBEM Dr. Devon Taylor told Irie FM News that the government wants to settle the case and grant full public access to the beach. 

However, he claims that the government does not want to allow the self employed vendors to remain on the property. 

He said JABBEM cannot agree to the removal of the vendors, as these are the individuals who have been fighting for free public access to the beach for almost 2 years.
