Two main political parties predict victory in Wednesday’s General Election

Jamaica’s two main political parties have declared that they will win the General Election on Wednesday.

Both parties held their final mass rallies last evening ahead of the September 3 polls.

The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) held its meeting at the Old Harbour Roundabout in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, while People’s National Party (PNP) members and supporters gathered in Sam Sharpe Square, Montego Bay, St. James.

Both the JLP and PNP kicked off the events with a gospel segment.

Addressing the JLP’s rally, senior JLP Communications Taskforce member, Marlon Morgan said the PNP will be defeated.

Meanwhile, PNP’s candidate for Central St. James, Janice Allen assured that the party’s victory will come on Wednesday.
