Two brothers drown at Portland river
Two men, said to be brothers, reportedly drowned at a river in Skibo District Portland yesterday.
Relatives have identified them as, 31-year-old Adrainnie Ivery and 21-year-old Tafuta Wigan, both of Trelawny.
Reports are that at about 1:30 p-m the men were among a group of relatives on a family trip.
While swimming in the river, one man got into difficulty and his brother attempted to rescue him.
However, both men submerged in the water.
Following a search their bodies were found and retrieved.
The mother of the 2 men said they were found holding on to each other.
The grieving mother said she is trying to stay strong.
