Two Air Canada flights to and from the Sangster International Airport cancelled yesterday due to industrial action by the airline’s staff

Two Air Canada flights to and from the Sangster International Airport, in St. James were cancelled yesterday, due to labour action by the airline’s staff.

MBJ airports limited, operators of the SIA, said one of the affected flights was scheduled to arrive at 11:05 A.M. and the other was scheduled to depart at 12 noon.

MBJ also warned of possible further disruptions to Air Canada’s flight operations, over the next few days.

It urged hotel partners to retain guests travelling via the airline and not transport them to the airport until the situation has been resolved and normal flight operations resume.

Meantime, State Minister for Tourism Delano Seiveright said the Ministry is monitoring the situation.
