Tropical storm Melissa could make landfall in Jamaica.

That’s according to Principal Director of the Met Service Evan Thompson.

Speaking at a press briefing today Mr. Thompson said Jamaica is expected to begin experiencing the impacts of tropical storm Melissa as early as tomorrow, with rainfall expected to cover most of the island.

He noted that eastern parishes and southern sections of the island are most at risk.

Mr. Thompson said Melissa could also become a hurricane by Friday.
