Truck driver arrested in relation to theft of 200 metres of Flow copper cables this morning
A truck driver was taken into custody in relation to the theft of approximately 200 metres of copper cables belonging to Telecommunications Company, Flow this morning (December 8).
Head of the St. Andrew Central Police, Senior Superintendent Marlon Nesbeth says the Matilda’s Corner Police intercepted the man while conducting patrols.
He notes that the cables have an estimated value of three million dollars.
SSP Nesbeth says the police are continuing their investigations and have asked the Financial Investigations Division to join the probe.
The police suspect the incident might be linked to other incidents of cable theft in the corporate area.
