Trinidadians continue to react following news that Vybz Kartel is slated to perform during Carnival week.

With artists like Yankee Boy among the critics, some are disgruntled that Kartel is booked for the One Caribbean Festival. Yankee Boy, the most vocal, revealed he will go on a hunger strike until Kartel changes the date. He further laments that Vybz Kartel’s inclusion is likely to overshadow Trinidad’s Soca culture.

Vybz Kartel is yet to publicly address this concern.
