Transport Minister seeks to further delay increased toll rates
The government is continuing negotiations with the Jamaica North South Highway Company Limited, seeking to further delay the application of increased toll rates, for the Edward Seaga Highway.
The increased rates should have taken effect on July 1, but the company agreed to delay them, until August 20.
Speaking on the rates at yesterday’s post cabinet press briefing, Transport Minister Daryl Vaz thanked the company for agreeing to defer the increase, while noting he is hoping for a further extension.
