Transport Minister, Daryl Vaz has stressed that every effort should be made to ensure that the rural school bus tour is not politicized.

The school bus system has been a point of discussion in recent weeks.

In a statement this morning, Minister Vaz said in light of concerns raised by the opposition about the viability of the buses; it is important for the ministry to respond to requests from duly elected members of parliament for their functionality and safety to be displayed to communities.

He said the buses must be used for constituents.

Mr. Vaz stressed that the buses are for the children of Jamaica.
