Tourism officials continue preparations for winter tourist season
With the start of the winter tourist season later this week, Tourism officials continue preparations to ensure smooth operations.
The sector is seeing record numbers for arrivals from the United States, with more airline seats compared to last winter season.
Senior Advisor and Strategist in the Tourism Ministry Delano Seiveright says there has also been a strong performance in the number of visitors from Canada and the United Kingdom.
Meantime, Mr Seiveright points out that a number of challenges are being addressed including how to quickly move visitors through the Sangster International Airport.
He adds that other concerns are being addressed, among them, traffic congestion in several towns.
